Themes

This page goes over how to find and set themes for vscode. Changing your theme is good for productivity. Although not necessary, it is good to know you have different options available. Below are a set of instructions on how to find and activate different themes. It is simple and easy to follow.

Step 1:

The first step to find and activate themes is to open up vs code. All you do is click the icon and open up the app. You should see "Visual Studio Code" on the page. You have the page open, and that is step one.

Step 2:

Step 2 is locating where the themes button will be. You click on the settings icon in the lower left area of visual studio, and that opens up a tab. There is a list of items available. You go all the way down to the bottom, and there you will see an item that says themes.

Step 3:

In step 3, you will click the button that says themes. That will open up a list of three items. Color theme, file icon theme, and product icon theme. We are focusing on the color theme. All you do now is just click the color theme button.

Step 4:

Step 4 shows the list of available themes. The highlighted section on the list is the current theme that you see. There are different sections of themes as well. You have light themes, dark themes, and high contrast themes. Within these are themes such as light modern and kimbie dark.

Step 5:

Each theme alters the rest of your visual studio code such as how your text looks. Now you have seen and chosen the theme of your choice. Step 5 is completed.
